The Galveston County Office of Emergency Managment is closely watching weather and forecast information for Gustav.  The track of the storm beyond three days remains very uncertain.  However, the storm will probably enter the Gulf of Mexico some time this weekend.  Please take the necessary precautions to prepare yourself ond your family in the event the storm should strike in our region, including keeping your gas tank full, purchasing water and non-perishable food items and locating all personal important documents.  Over the coming Labor Day weekend, keep yourselves up to date on the most current information by visiting the websites of the National Weather Service Houston-Galveston, the National Hurricane Center and our web page.
