Galveston County Mainland
This Message Does Not Apply to the Bolivar Peninsula
The last day for residents of unincorporated Galveston County to set-out Hurricane Ike generated debris along the public right-of-way will be Sunday, October 26, 2008 as the County’s debris removal operation comes to a close. Residents should make every effort to place debris along the public right-of-way. This should be limited to separated piles of storm generated limbs, branches, white goods (washers, dryers, and refrigerators) and construction and demolition debris.
Please put as much storm generated debris along your right-of-way being cautious not to obstruct mailboxes, utility access points such as electric and water meters or fire hydrants as these could be damaged by heavy equipment during loading.
