Galveston County has adopted a fireworks ban prohibiting the sale or use of restricted fireworks such as "skyrockets with sticks" or "missiles with fins" in the unincorporated areas of Galveston County located on Bolivar Peninsula and in San Leon, Bacliff, Bayview, and Freddiesville beginning on December 24, 2008 and lasting through January 3, 2009.  Read the Notice of Prohibition here.
