County Judge Jim Yarbrough and the Galveston County Cooperative Emergency Management Group recognized two of its long-time members December 3rd for their contributions to emergency preparedness in our communities.  Certificates were presented to Hitchcock Police Chief Glenn Manis and American Red Cross Director Irma Ortiz.  Accepting on behalf of Ortiz is incoming director of the Galveston County Unite of the ARC, Mari Berend.
