Rainy Weekend, Colder Week Ahead PDF Print E-mail

A low pressure system will develop and track along the Texas coast this weekend giving us a period of rain, mainly Saturday night and Sunday.  Severe weather is possible during this time with potentially heavy rain and thunderstorms mainly along the coast.  Rainfall amounts of 1-3 inches are possible with this system, but we are not expecting wintry precipitation.

Monday through Wednesday appears colder with highs mainly in the 40s and lows in the 20s, with lower to mid 30s at the coast.  There is a possibility of a hard freeze inland with lows in the mid 20s for areas north of Houston.

The Office of Emergency Management continues to work with our partners, the National Weather Service to keep you informed of any potentially severe weather that may affect our area.
