Earlier this Friday afternoon, crews from Texas City FD and San Leon VFD responded to a large fire at the old P. H. Robinson power plant on Highway 146.  FM 517 was closed for a period of time between Highway 146 and 29th Street.  Once crews determined that the area was safe, FM 517 was reopened to the public.  Emergency personnel will continue to monitor the scene.
