July 29, 2011 - The forecast track for Tropical Storm Don continues to trend south of us.  Current landfall is expected at Baffin Bay around 10:00 PM this evening.  Galveston County can expect the following impacts:

• Elevated rip current threat
• Tide levels of 1/2 to 1 foot above normal
• 30-40 knot wind gusts
• Rainfall of 1/2 to 1" with isolated areas of 2"

Unless there are significant changes to the forecast track later today, this will be the last update for Tropical Storm Don.
