September 1, 2011 - 9:30 PM - Tropical Depression Thirteen has formed in the Gulf of Mexico.  Current models forecast the depression to move onshore along the Louisiana coast as a Tropical Storm.    A Tropical Storm Warning in in effect for Pascagoula, Mississippi westward to Sabine Pass, Texas.  A slow northwestward motion is expected through Friday followed by a turn toward the north Friday night or Saturday.  Galveston County residents should pay close attention to the weather forecast for any changes in the storm track that may cause heavy rains or coastal flooding to impact our area.
