Sunday, February 26, 2012 – The Galveston County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) participated in the recent CERT Rodeo at the Harris County Fire and Sheriff’s Training Academy in Humble, and enjoyed a great day of exercises, training and fellowship.
The team was joined this year by five members of the Orange County CERT squad.
The Rodeo is an exercise of all the skills gained during Community Emergency Response Team training. Team members competed against teams from throughout Texas in such activities as evidence search, fire suppression, scene size-up, search and rescue, triage, and cribbing.
