March 26, 2012 – The Houston-Galveston office of the National Weather Service is preparing for the 2012 Hurricane Workshop at the George R. Brown Convention Center  in downtown Houston, and is encouraging citizens from throughout the region to register online.
The annual workshop, which draws several thousand people to the convention center for hurricane preparedness tips, season projections, children’s activities and more, will be held Saturday, June 9 from 10 AM to 3 PM in Hall A.
Hosted by the National Weather Service and underwritten by CenterPoint Energy, the workshop is supported by the City of Houston and multiple public and private partners.
