2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season Predictions

Post Date:05/26/2023 5:00 AM

The National Hurricane Center has predicted 12 to 17 named storms, 5 to 9 hurricanes, and 1 to 4 major hurricanes. This outlook is a near normal hurricane season. There is a 30% chance of above normal and 30% chance of below normal. The change in activity may be attributed to the switch from La Nina to El Nino. This change is normally correlated with suppression of Atlantic hurricane activity.
