6-19 Heat Warning

Here is a quick weather update on the heatwave impacting Southeast TX. 

  • Extreme heat will continue today and will likely persist through at least mid-week. 
  • Peak heat index values from 105 to 116+ degree F can be expected, mainly in the afternoon and early evenings. 
  • Excessive Heat Warnings and Heat Advisories are now in effect through Tuesday evening. Additional heat headlines are possible for Wednesday. 
  • Light rain and storm chances are possible after mid-week, trending temperatures and humidity down a bit.
