- Another Excessive Heat Warning remains in effect for much of SE TX today, with maximum heat index values of 113 or greater possible.

- Along the immediate coast and across our northern counties, a Heat Advisory is in effect with heat index values of 108 to 112 expected.

- Dangerous heat will continue through the duration of the week and into the weekend, with no rainfall expected through at least Saturday.

Dangerous heat will continue through the duration of the upcoming week with widespread triple digit highs expected. Heat index values in excess of 113 are possible across much of the area, and these locations have been included in an Excessive Heat Warning today (see map below). Elsewhere, a Heat Advisory will remain in effect with heat index values peaking between 108 and 112 this afternoon. Triple digit highs will continue throughout the remainder of the week. The forecast generally remains rain-free through at least Saturday. Our next chance at any rainfall may come on Sunday, but this remains uncertain at this time.
