Scam Alert!

Scammers are calling Galveston County Residents claiming that the citizen needs to pay a warrant or an outstanding balance with Local Law Enforcement or the County Clerk's Office via Zelle or prepaid debit cards. If anyone has questions about warrants or court costs/fees, they can call the respective department directly.

Any citizen who receives a call which appears to be suspicious in any way is encouraged to notify their local law enforcement agency immediately. Protect yourself. Stay informed. Stay alert. Beware of scams!
