As our most precious cargo head back to school, remember these rules when passing stopped buses.
On a two lane road, traffic in BOTH lanes must stop in BOTH directions.
On multi-lane roads that are paved all the way across with no medium, ALL lanes must stop in BOTH directions.
On multi-lane roads with unpaved medians 5 feet plus or a barrier, those BEHIND the bus must stop and those traveling in the OPPOSITE direction must use caution and proceed.
