Galveston County Emergency Management and the National Weather Service are monitoring Tropical Storm Julia. There is no expected impact to Galveston County at this time. We will continue to monitor as the storm is expected to strengthen over the Caribbean Sea. There is a hurricane watch for the Nicaragua coast.

Be prepared if the storm curves into the Gulf. Blue Sky preparedness saves lives. Hurricane season has 53 days left. If you have not prepared, now is the time.
