Stay safe:

• Keep decorations 10ft from powerlines. Overhead powerlines can pose a great risk, never get yourself or any decorations within 10ft of the lines.
• Use caution on a ladder.
  • Do not use a chair.
  • Do not use the top as a step.
  • Maintain 3 points (two feet and a hand, or two hands and a foot) when ascending or descending.
  • Face the ladder when ascending or descending.
  • Do not exceed the ladder's weight limit.
  • More tips.
• No decorations on or near the chimney or fireplace. Chimney flare ups and embers can easily set decorations on fire.
• Do not chain more that 3 light strands together. Daisy chaining lights or surge protectors can be very dangerous and lead to fires.
• Use outdoor cables and GFCI outlets. Inspect your cables for fraying and that they are usable outdoors. GFCI outlets are labeled and required for anything plugged into a we environment to prevent shorts.
• Anchor down your inflatables. We can get a lot of wind in the Gulf Coast, make sure your inflatables do not go for a ride with Santa.
